#3 No I dont believe parents reserve the right to teach their children about controversial issues like drug use because it is not just the parents responsibility but also teachers and any other professional in the medical field because they have the most knowledge about drugs. 

#4 Yes I agree with the authors assertion that parents should examine the books they intend to bar their children from reading. If the parent is extremely opposed to the subject in question if the child is old enough they should be able to make their own decision.
