I agree with the author's assertion of parents examining their childrens books. Parents want to be aware of what their kids read and listen to. I think that there is an age appropriate level for what kids read. Parents should be aware when their kids are in elementary schooland middle schools. When they get into high school and get more mature, then I think kids should be able to decide for themselves what they want to read.
