Assignment #3 

Parents do not have the right to reserve the right to teach their children about drugs sex or anything of that sort. They may teach them how they please but life will teach them along the way as well as the books they read. You can restrict them from reading certain books but you shouldnt be allowed to restrict other children whos parents dont have the same views as you. If you as a parent want to reserve the right then you may but im sure the school system and the life they live will end up teaching them more than the parent could.

Assignment #2

I believe that the Patriot Act does not pose any threat to our freedoms, yes it allows agencies to use surveillance over us, but it is all to protect our rights to begin with. It evades some of our rights but it is protecting more of our rights and more important rights in the process. Would you like to be attacked by a terrorist and have you or a family member die because you didnt want some of your little rights tampered with. That attack could have be easily prevented had the government been allowed to survey the people they were suspicious of without having to go through the court system where it could of been too late to stop them before they attacked. In the end it is better to lose a little bit of your freedoms to be able to keep your life and the rest of your rights and freedoms.
