I believe that parents should teach their kids at a certian age about drug use and many other things that happen in the world. In the quote it mentions a book depicting rape and that many of the parents these days disagree with teaching their kids about it, which is wrong because whos to say that it wont happen to them when their older or even at a young age. If u explain this to your kids at a decent age then they will understand whats goin on in the world around them and they hopefully will not have anyone trying to get them to do drugs or have somehting bad happen to them. i also think that if parents dont teach it the way they were tought or by what they hear then the kids are not goin to pay attention to them as well and they probly wont pay attention to anyone besides their parents that is teaching them because many kids think their parents know everything.
