Parents should be able to monitor childrens books if it involves sexuality, sexual violence, gang violence, etc., their just children. Children in middle school and below are not as mature as high school students and wouldn't understand the importance of these situations, unless the have been in similar situations themselves. In this case I suggest good counciling and care. High school students should be more educated in the world we're living in because they are growing into adults and would understand the seriousness of these situations.
