Assignment # 3 "Parents should or should not"

I believe that parents should be entitled the direct right to be able to talk with their children about drugs, alcohol, sex, and anything else they feel needs to be discussed. Should parents be in the dark and not know what is going on with their children? Or course not, what if their child is going through a difficult or emotional era and may need counciling. Not only from a professional psychologist, but personally I feel it is a lot more comfortable and easy to speak to the people that know you and that you know the best. Noone wants to go to a complete stranger and spill out all of their personal contents. Some might, but I believe that your parents have the biggest effect on their children due to the fact they are the people we look up to and go to for advice.

Assignment # 2 The Patriot Act of 2001

Surprised Some people feel that The Patriot Act violates their personal rights, due to the fact their personal lives may be tapped into and their conversations can he heard else where by whom they have no idea. I personally feel that it is a violation of my own personal rights, others whom I have never met should not be entitled to follow my daily activites. Although when The Patriot Act is brought up with terrorism, I agree with the use of it, because it can be a source to pull out persons whom give various reasons to assume they are involved in terrorists activities. So I'm torn between completely agreeing with The Patriot Act and completely disagreeing with it. Only because I would be terribly upset if my conversation was invaded or if I were to be "spied" on. Although when information is displayed by the media that the use of The Patriot Act was the main coponet in catching persons involved in illegal activities, including terrorism, I completely agree with it's use.Laughing
